ZD Wine Dinner – April 14th,2010

On this night, Toulouse teams up with ZD Winery for a 5-course wine dinner to support alternative cancer treatments. ZD's Estate Vineyard and deLeuze Family Vineyard are Certified Organic since 1999, with organic farming practices dating back to 1980s. When Norman deLeuze, founder of ZD Wines and a “health fanatic,” was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, he refused to go through the standard chemo route of treating cancer. For his health, just like his wine, he opted for a more natural route, which extended his life beyond the doctor-predicted 8 months. Toulouse made a small donation to the deLeuze Family Endowment, and would like to continue showing our support for their non-toxic fight against lymphoma. We will pour five ZD wines – Chardonnay, Carneros Pinot Noir, Founder’s Reserve Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – and Teresa D'Aurizio, vice president of ZD Wines, will lead the wine dinner by discussing each wine’s complexities and characteristics.
